WORLDLY WEDNESDAY
So my lovely roommate & I decided to start a tradition of Worldly Wednesdays. Every Wednesday we will make a (cheap) dish from a different part of the world. We try to shoot for cheap easy recipes to accommodate for our restricted college budgets & lack of free time! Overall this recipe cost us less than 10.00 to make!
This week we made a Mediterranean pizza with cauliflower dough. (yes- pizza dough made out of cauliflower).
Ingredients for dough
*Head of cauliflower
*2 eggs
*1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan
*Greek seasoning, garlic powder, & any other spices you might want
Toppings
*Feta cheese
*Pizza sauce
*Tomatoes
*Olives
*Peppers
*Chickpeas
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
2. Use food processor to rice the entire head of cauliflower
3. Use paper towels to absorb as much of the water from the riced cauliflower
4. Mix in egg, seasoning, & cheese
5. Grease pan & evenly spread dough, about 1/2 inch thick
6. Bake for 15-20 minutes
7. Add sauce & toppings
8. Put back in oven for roughly 5 minutes or until cheese is melted
(We modified our pizza a bit because we didn't want to spend money on feta & fancy olives but it was still delicious)
